The Reuss valley is THE foehn corridor of the Swiss Alps: from Andermatt through Altdorf and onto the Urnersee the south wind sets its records here, and the Gütsch station above Andermatt is its sentinel. Around it, the Lake Lucerne basin offers gentler breeze sites, from the Rigi to Engelberg.
The stations combine ridges (Gütsch, Titlis, Pilatus) and valleys, and the foehn page tracks the southerly component above the pass continuously.
