The Bödeli between lakes Thun and Brienz is one of the busiest flying basins in the Alps, and its aerology hinges on the two lakes: breezes cross and reinforce there, and on southerly days the foehn breaks down from the high valleys. The faces above Interlaken carry late into the day.
